Banks to remain open on Sunday ahead of three-day strike

Public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks will remain open on Sunday (September 27) ahead of a proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30, Finance Ministry said. RBI approved branches, offices, ATM-linked branches and currency chests to operate that day across India. The United Forum of Bank Unions called the strike demanding implementation of five-day banking week.
