Former US President Barack Obama on Wednesday announced the demise of family dog Sunny, who came to the White House at the start of his second term. In a heartfelt note for the 13-year-old, Obama wrote, "We lost a cherished member of our family...always loyal, always sweet, always ready for adventure, still fiery and gorgeous...We'll miss her terribly."
