Baranica Elangovan breaks national record in women's pole vault

Athlete Baranica Elangovan broke the national record in women's pole vault, clearing a height of 4.22 m to win gold at National Indoor Championships in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. The previous national record of 4.21 m was set by Rosy Meena Paulraj in 2022. "I was focusing only on the techniques," the 29-year-old, a three-time outdoor national champion, said after setting record.
