Barclays promotes 85 people in investment bank to MD's post

Barclays promoted 85 people to managing director's post in its investment bank. The promotions came a day after Barclays announced a rejig in its senior management ranks, promoting the head of its consumer banking business Alistair Currie to the Chief Operating Officer's post. The lender had elevated the same number of people to the coveted title last year.
