Barring 8 days, Andhra relied on borrowings from RBI during 2024-25

Andhra Pradesh government relied on borrowings from the RBI during 2024-25 except for just eight days, a CAG report tabled in the state Assembly on Friday stated. The state government availed ₹1.72 lakh crore through special drawing facilities, ways and means advances and overdraft during 2024-25 and ended up paying ₹303.12 crore towards interest. The total borrowings crossed ₹81,071 crore.
