Ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad's wife Asma, who is battling blood cancer, has a 50% chance of survival, according to a report by The Telegraph. She has been isolated to minimise the risk of infection and is undergoing treatment. Asma previously battled breast cancer and had declared herself cancer-free in 2019 after a year of treatment.
