Batra 1st Indian to be International Hockey Federation chief

Hockey India president Narinder Batra has been elected as the president of the International Hockey Federation on Saturday, becoming the first Indian to head the world body. Batra became one of few Indian sports administrators to lead a world sporting body, joining the likes of Jagmohan Dalmiya and N Ramachandran, who have headed the world cricket and squash bodies respectively.
