Bats drop dead from trees amid severe heatwave in Chhattisgarh

Over 500 bats have been found dead amid severe heatwave conditions in Chhattisgarh. Villagers have reported seeing large numbers of bats drop dead from trees over three to four days. IMD issued a warning for 20 districts as temperatures crossed 45°C and ultraviolet radiation reached "extreme" levels. Earlier, 200 bats were found dead at a village in the Korba district.
