Batwara 1947 director denies Shabana's claim on Sunny's Muslim role

Director Rajkumar Santoshi has rejected Shabana Azmi's theory that Sunny Deol's Muslim character in 'Batwara 1947' is the reason the film performed poorly at the box office. "It makes no sense to me. Amitabh Bachchan played a Muslim hero in 'Coolie'," said Rajkumar, adding, "Are we at a point where we cannot accept a hero from the other community?"
