BBMP does not have ownership of disputed Idgah Maidan: Official

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath said the Palike does not have ownership of the disputed Idgah Maidan in Bengaluru's Chamarajpet. BBMP doesn't have any authority to respond to submissions seeking permission to celebrate Independence Day on the premises, Nath added. As per the Supreme Court order, the property is not under BBMP ownership, he said.
