BBMP shuts down Bengaluru's Mantri Mall due to tax issues

The well-known Mantri Square Mall in Malleshwaram was taken over by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials on Friday morning for allegedly failing to pay taxes. Mantri Mall had earlier been taken over by BBMP officers but the mall’s management had obtained a court-issued stay order allowing them to reopen.
