BBMP to move ahead with flyover on Sankey Tank Road amid protests

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will move ahead with its plans to expand the Sankey Tank Bund Road and build a flyover in Malleshwaram amid locals' opposition. The project is needed to alleviate increasing traffic, a BBMP official stated. Locals had hugged trees that were slated to be cut down and staged protests, claiming they weren't consulted about the project.
