BCCI asked MS Dhoni to step down as captain in 2017, reveals former selector

Ex-national selector Jatin Paranjpe has revealed that the BCCI asked MS Dhoni to step down as white-ball captain in 2017. He added that he and then chief selector MSK Prasad told Dhoni during a domestic match in Nagpur in January 2017 that it was time for him to move on. Paranjpe revealed that Dhoni agreed that the timing was perfect.
