BCCI hikes umpire fees after nearly a decade, top grade to earn ₹60,000 per match day

BCCI has increased fees for domestic umpires for the first time since 2017-18, with the top grade now earning ₹60,000 per match day. Grades B, C and D will receive ₹50,000, ₹40,000 and ₹35,000 respectively. The board has also revised match referees' fees and introduced a merit-based system under which umpires can be promoted or relegated after each season.
