BCCI revises rule involving penalty runs in domestic cricket

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently introduced a significant revision to the penalty runs rule in domestic cricket. In a clarification note sent to the state associations recently, the BCCI declared that if the ball accidentally comes in contact with any equipment or object while in play, it will not be considered illegal fielding.
