Bar Council halts enrolment of NALSAR 2026 graduates amid CJI invite row, withdraws order later

Bar Council of India directed all State Bar Councils not to enrol 2026 graduates of NALSAR, Hyderabad, as advocates. This followed opposition from a section of students to CJI Surya Kant being invited to the university's convocation. However, BCI later withdrew the order, citing that many students were "innocent" and weren't inclined to take part in the "move of disrespect".
