Pictures taken years apart show how Japan has rebuilt itself after being struck by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and a tsunami in 2011, followed by Fukushima nuclear disaster, the worst natural disaster in Japan's history. As many as 19,000 people lost their lives and over one lakh buildings were damaged. Japan marks 10 years of the disaster on March 11, 2021.
