BEL signs contract to supply Ashwini radars to Indian Air Force

On March 12, 2025, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a capital acquisition contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), for the procurement of the Low-level Transportable Radar (LLTR), also known as Ashwini. The contract is valued at ₹2,906 crore. The radar is indigenously designed and developed by DRDO.
