Belarus draft constitution bans President to serve more than 2 terms

Amendments made to the Belarusian constitution published on Monday state that an elected President cannot serve more than two terms. "[A Belarusian President] is elected for a term of five years directly by...people on...basis of universal, free, equal...voting by secret ballot," it read. President Alexander Lukashenko was re-elected in a disputed election in 2020 for the sixth time since 1994.
