Belgian bishop to push Pope Leo to ordain married priests by 2028

Johan Bonny, bishop of Antwerp in Belgium, said he'd make "every effort" to get the Vatican's permission to ordain married men as priests by 2028. Bonny said ordaining married men would combat the declining number of men willing to maintain celibacy to become priests. If Bonny ordained married priests without the Vatican's permission, he could be expelled from the Church.
