Bengal Assembly passes bill to remove Guv as Visitor of pvt universities

The West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill to replace Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar with the state Education Minister Bratya Basu as the Visitor of private universities. This comes after the Assembly passed a bill seeking to replace Dhankhar with CM Mamata Banerjee as the state-run universities' Chancellor. Both the bills need to get consent from Dhankhar before becoming acts.
