West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya demanded another round of the SIR of electoral rolls in the state, citing violence and obstruction that disrupted the previous exercise. This comes amid ongoing protests by Opposition parties and the Cockroach Janata Party over alleged irregularities in the SIR process . The protests are demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
