Bengal CM Mamata resigns from 23 offices ahead of Assembly polls

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday resigned from 23 offices and positions she held across departments and affiliated bodies, as per an official communication. She resigned as head of state health mission, and as chairperson of the state wildlife board, ecotourism advisory board, among other positions. Mamata will contest from Bhabanipur in the upcoming Assembly polls.
