Bengal CM vows CAA citizenship for eligible applicants by Dec 31

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari pledged that all eligible CAA applicants will receive citizenship certificates by December 31. He said 2.5 lakh applications are pending in Nadia and North 24 Parganas. Adhikari blamed the previous TMC government for the backlog and said district magistrates and SDOs have been trained to expedite hearings.
