TMC said West Bengal's draft electoral rolls published under Election Commission’s (EC) SIR have proven BJP's Suvendu Adhikari wrong. Adhikari had claimed that West Bengal hosts "one crore Rohingyas and Bangladeshis". According to EC’s data, there were 1.38 lakh duplicate or fake voters recorded in the state. Meanwhile, over 58 lakh names have been deleted from Bengal's draft voter list.
