Bengal govt moves SC against bail to Congress' Nandigram bypoll candidate

West Bengal government approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on Calcutta High Court's interim bail granted to Congress' Nandigram bypoll candidate Milan Pradhan, a murder accused with six non-bailable warrants. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued the bail was unwarranted. SC agreed to hear the matter on October 5, a day after campaigning ends.
