Bengal policeman booked for beating up child rights body chief

Days after National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) chairman Priyank Kanoongo alleged he was beaten at Tiljila Police Station, West Bengal Police said on Sunday that a case was registered against the accused officer Biswak Mukherjee. Kanoongo said police recorded NCPCR's probe into the murder of a girl in Kolkata and the rape of a minor in Malda.
