Bengal withdraws state honour from BJP MP who insulted Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

BJP-led West Bengal government withdrew and nullified state's highest civilian honour, Banga Bibhushan, conferred upon BJP MP Nagendra Ray alias Ananta Maharaj under TMC's rule in February. This comes after Ray sparked a row by questioning Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's role in India's freedom struggle. CM Suvendu Adhikari had directed police to arrest anyone making derogatory remarks about Netaji.
