Bengali artisans bring Hubballi’s grand Ganesh Chaturthi to life

Since 1994, artisans from West Bengal have crafted large Ganesh idols for Hubballi's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, using unique techniques and clay from the Ganga. Demand for their eco-friendly idols has surged after a ban on plaster-of-Paris idols. While popular, local makers worry about competition from the more affordable Bengali creations.
