Bengaluru cafe charges ₹1,000/hr from people holding meeting for over 1 hr, sparks debate

An eatery in Bengaluru introduced a 'meeting' fee to prevent customers from occupying tables for meetings while ordering very less food. "Meetings lasting over one hour will be charged ₹1,000/hour," the eatery's now-viral notice stated. This has sparked a debate online, with a user saying they "felt sorry for cafe owners" as customers "chat for hours and not buy" anything.
