Bengaluru civic body BBMP bans construction in lake area

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has banned the construction of any structure in the lake area or any construction that obstructs the natural flow of the water. The civic body also prohibited the exploitation of lake water for irrigation and other activities. The BBMP said that no commercial activity will be permitted in 30-km zone around the lake area.
