Bengaluru couple recovers ₹4 lakh after eSIM fraud attack

A Bengaluru couple lost ₹7.29 lakh after fraudsters hijacked the wife's phone number using an eSIM activation request, gaining access to her bank OTPs. However, they fought back and recovered nearly ₹4 lakh through a legal route that most fraud victims in India are unaware of. Financial fraud has grown nearly fivefold in India over the last five years.
