Bengaluru engineer loses ₹7 Lakh gold in fake Pooja scam

A software engineer in Bengaluru's Whitefield was allegedly cheated of gold jewellery worth ₹7 lakh after being persuaded to take part in a fake pooja. The accused reportedly claimed her brother's life was in danger and convinced her to hand over the jewellery during the ritual. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the alleged fraud.
