Bengaluru fake call centre scam busted, ₹40 Cr fraud

The Bengaluru Cyber Command Police busted an international fake call centre racket targeting US citizens. The gang impersonated US companies and ran fake tax service scams, cheating victims of over ₹40 crore. Four centres across Bengaluru were raided, and multiple systems, SIM cards and CPUs were seized. Officials said the investigation is ongoing into the wider cyber fraud network.
