Bengaluru hospital prepares for emergencies ahead of Diwali 2026

Minto Hospital in Bengaluru is preparing for Diwali 2026 by arranging additional staff, medicines and round-the-clock services to treat people injured by firecrackers. Hospital officials said eye injuries are among the most common cases, while burns are also reported. In 2025, 56 people sought treatment for firecracker injuries, and 14 required hospital admission.
