Bengaluru man dies after e-scooter battery explodes at home

A 65-year-old man, Lourd Nathan, died in Bengaluru after an Okinawa electric scooter battery exploded while charging inside his home in Halasur. The late-night blast caused severe burns and sparked a fire that damaged household items. Police suspect battery overcharging led to the explosion. A case has been registered following a complaint filed by the victim's son, Frank Antony.
