Bengaluru Metro: Why ridership is stuck at 10 lakh

Bengaluru Metro’s network has expanded to 96 km with 83 stations, but daily ridership remains around 10 lakh against a projected 30-lakh target. Officials have identified poor first- and last-mile connectivity as a key concern. Plans include improving footpaths, bus bays and feeder services, while 500 mini-buses have been proposed to strengthen connectivity to metro stations.
