Bengaluru's Thanisandra to get Vande Bharat sleeper depot

Indian Railways has started acquiring land in Bengaluru's Thanisandra for a dedicated Vande Bharat Sleeper depot. The facility will maintain and service next-generation overnight trains, boosting operational efficiency and supporting the expansion of premium long-distance rail services. The project strengthens Bengaluru's position as a key railway hub in southern India.
