Bengaluru scientists build model to predict flash floods

Researchers from CSIR-4PI and AcSIR have built a high-resolution digital map of Bengaluru's Koramangala Challaghatta Valley. Published in Natural Hazards, the study uses the EPA's Stormwater Management Model to track urban runoff. This physics-based simulation gives city administrators a predictive tool to forecast precise inundation zones before it rains.
