Bengaluru sees 75% of Karnataka's 4,212 influenza cases in 2026

Karnataka has recorded 4,212 laboratory-confirmed influenza cases across 32 districts in 2026, with Bengaluru witnessing 3,081 cases (nearly 75%). The cases were recorded up to August 22. Udupi recorded 300, while Mysuru and Dakshina Kannada saw 187 and 87 cases, respectively. Notably, the state recorded 4,583 laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in 2025 and 3,903 in 2024.
