A Bengaluru-based Amazon engineer, Adam Rizk, escaped a highway crash during heavy rain but faced a shocking ₹61 lakh repair estimate for his Mercedes-Benz. His car reportedly hydroplaned, smashed through a divider and landed in the opposite lane. Rizk said the vehicle was declared a total loss, with insurance expected to provide a cash payout instead of covering repairs.
