Berkshire starts deploying its massive cash pile after 14 quarters, buys its own shares

Berkshire Hathaway has begun deploying its cash pile for the first time in 14 quarters as its cash holdings fell from $397.4 billion to $365.5 billion in three months. It spent over $4.5 billion to buy its own shares, which have risen roughly 12% in one year. This comes shortly after Greg Abel took over Berkshire from billionaire Warren Buffett.
