Berlin Film Festival to make acting prizes gender-neutral

Berlin International Film Festival will stop separating awards in the acting field according to gender beginning next year. The ceremony awards Silver Bears for several categories including 'Best Actor' and 'Best Actress'. However, now, a Silver Bear for 'Best Leading Performance' and 'Best Supporting Performance' will be awarded on a gender-neutral basis, the organisers said.
