BEST employees end strike after Maha govt agrees to pay hike

The employees of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) called off their strike after three days following a meeting with Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. The government agreed to their key demands including monthly wage hike of ₹3,000 for permanent employees and ₹2,000 for contract workers, along with release of pending gratuity payments from current financial year's budget.
