Best team won: Guardiola after City surrender to Mbappe and Madrid

Manchester City surrendered against Real Madrid, more specifically Kylian Mbappe, in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2024-25 playoff tie. After losing 1-3 on the night and 3-6 on aggregate, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was brutally honest in assessment of his team’s performance, and stated that 'the best team won'.
