BEST workers to begin indefinite hunger strike in Mumbai today

Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Workers’ Union will begin an indefinite hunger strike at 11:30 am on Tuesday in Mumbai over long-pending demands related to BEST employees, wet-lease workers and retired staff. The strike will begin at the union office at Kennedy Bridge. The union is also demanding immediate financial assistance for BEST through the BMC’s budget.
