Bets worth ₹12,000 crore placed on Spain-Argentina World Cup final through prediction app

The FIFA World Cup 2026 final between Spain and Argentina has attracted record bets worth over $1.27 billion (more than ₹12,000 crore) on prediction market app Kalshi, Fortune reported. As of Friday afternoon, the platform gave Spain a 61% chance of beating Argentina. Cumulative trading across all World Cup-related prediction markets has crossed $25 billion.
