Better CEO, who fired 900 staff, says 'worked hard to be kinder'

Mortgage firm Better's CEO Vishal Garg, who fired 900 employees via Zoom in 2021, said he has "worked really hard" to be more empathetic to employees. "I've worked...hard to...treat [employees] with the same level of kindness that I showed our customers," Garg stated. "I've learned...that...for our customers to be delighted, our teammates also have to feel delight," he added.
