Better to invest in athletes: Congress MP on India's 'Olympic bid'

After India reportedly submitted a Letter of Intent (LoI) to host the Olympics and Paralympics in 2036, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said it's better to invest in training Indian athletes. Calling it a "vanity project", he asked, "Which is the city that is bidding?" "We shouldn't be aiming to hold the Olympics...Our legacy use of stadia is abysmal," Karti added.
