Bharat Biotech gets approval to test administering COVID-19 vaccine via skin

The Drugs Controller General of India gave approval to Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech to test administering its potential COVID-19 vaccine COVAXIN via the skin, called as intradermal vaccine delivery. This route is less invasive and requires a lesser dosage. With this, Bharat Biotech becomes the first Indian firm to test a COVID-19 vaccine candidate in both intradermal and intramuscular methods.
